Grade Parents & Class Parents
Grade Parents help play a key role in developing community at the grade level. They are responsible for sharing grade-wide information, helping to plan assemblies and other grade-wide events and activities and managing the grade WhatsApp chat.
Class Parents support and enhance the work of the Grade Parents. They act as a touch point for each class, helping families navigate the activities throughout the year. They are responsible for class-wide communications, building a micro-community within the larger Leffell School community and managing the class WhatsApp chats.
Event Chairs & Committee Members
Event Chairs help play a pivotal role in creating and executing the events and activities that the PTO sponsors or organizes throughout the year. Depending on the activity, this can range from a full year commitment to a small short term project and require time on campus or be completely remote. Examples of activities / events include:
Parents Social (US or LS)
Lower School Book Fair
Committee Members support Event Chairs or PTO Board Members in planning and executing events and activities. They can be responsible for a subsection of planning.
